How Much Does PPF Cost? A UK Price Guide from Procar Detailing
If you are asking how much PPF costs in the UK, the honest answer depends on how much of the car you cover. At Procar Detailing, an official Terminax certified PPF installer near Chichester, our paint protection film packages start from £1,500 for a front end, £2,200 for an extended front end and £4,200 for a full car. This guide explains what moves the price, what each package covers and what to expect from a premium installer.

What affects the cost of PPF?

Paint protection film (PPF) is priced per car, not per metre. Four things shape the quote.
Coverage. This is the biggest factor. Protecting the bonnet, bumper and wings takes far less film and fitting time than covering every painted panel.
Size and shape of the car. Larger cars and panels with deep curves need more film and more careful fitting.
The film itself. We fit Terminax ultraNAX, a crystal-clear film with a self-healing top layer. You can choose gloss, satin or matte, depending on the look you want.
Preparation and installer skill. The film is only as good as the paint underneath and the hands fitting it. Proper preparation and a careful wet application take time, and that time is part of what you pay for.
PPF cost in the UK: our packages
Here is what you get at each level. All prices are "from" prices, and your quote depends on your car.
Package | What it covers | Time in our studio | Price |
Front End PPF | Bonnet, front bumper, wings, wing mirrors, headlights | 2 to 3 days | From £1,500 |
Extended Front End PPF | Everything in Front End, plus side skirts, rear arches and A pillars | 3 to 4 days | From £2,200 |
Full Car PPF | Every painted surface | 5 to 6 days | From £4,200 |
Front End PPF protects the areas that take the most stone chips. It is the usual starting point for a new car.
Extended Front End PPF adds the side skirts, rear arches and A pillars, which also pick up road debris and scuffs.
Full Car PPF covers every painted panel for maximum protection and resale value.
Is PPF worth it?

For many owners, yes. PPF is a physical barrier against stone chips, scratches and everyday wear, and the self-healing top layer lets light marks fade away with heat from the sun or warm water. Keeping the original paint in good condition also helps protect your resale value.
It can make sense on a leased car too. Lease companies can charge for stone chips and paint damage at the end of the term, and film on the high-impact areas helps you avoid those charges.
If your paint is also marked with swirls, we can correct it before the film goes on. See our paint correction in Chichester. Not sure whether PPF or a coating suits you better? Read about our ceramic coating in Chichester.
What to expect from a premium PPF installer

The price of a quote should buy a process you can see. At Procar Detailing you can expect:
One vehicle at a time in our secure studio at Walnut Farm Science Park, never rushed or batched.
A full chemical decontamination wash and clay bar treatment before any film touches the paint.
A wet application, so every edge and contour is positioned precisely before the film is locked down.
Progress photos and videos while your car is with us.
Access to the Terminax e-Warranty, a 10-year digital warranty registered against your vehicle.
Clear aftercare: wait 48 to 72 hours for curing, then wash with pH-neutral shampoo and soft microfibre.
A small amount of dust or a minor imperfection can be present in any installation, even in controlled conditions. This is normal within industry standards and does not affect how the film protects your car.
